Dipslide YM-M bacterial test slide
Detection range: yeast: 102-106CFU/ml; Mold: "+" - "++
Product details

Dipslide for bacterial testingOriginally, it was used to address various physical, chemical, and microbial changes that occur in samples during the transportation of media. Due to its portability, ability to maintain various properties of samples, and high cost-effectiveness, it is widely used for the detection of various fluids such as industrial water systems, cooling water, production and packing water.

Yeast and mold are common microorganisms in indoor environments, which may breed in damp or damaged building materials, walls, floors, ceilings, and air conditioning systems, and can be dispersed through the air. The presence of these microorganisms may have an impact on indoor air quality and overall quality of life. Detecting yeast and mold can help detect potential indoor environmental issues early and take appropriate preventive and control measures to avoid further microbial growth and health risks.

Dipsilde YM-M is mainly used for rapid and efficient testing of total mold and yeast count, evaluating microbial contamination on liquid and object surfaces, enabling relevant personnel to timely understand the current microbial situation in the environment and take necessary actions. It is widely used in industries such as cosmetics and food.

Typical applications

Water quality inspection, food, cosmetics and other industries

Precautions for storage and use

1. The shelf life of Dipslide YM-M test strips is 6 months. If colonies have already grown on the test strips before testing, please discard them immediately.

2. Direct sunlight and high temperatures can cause water loss and indicator failure in agar. Please store this product in a cool and dry place, with the optimal storage temperature being 12-25 ℃.

3. Dipslide YM-M bacterial test tablets must be kept sealed before use, and must be used immediately after being unscrewed. They cannot be reused.

4. Changes in temperature and humidity during storage can cause sterile condensed water to form inside the bacterial test tube, but have no impact on the results themselves.

During the process of microbial reproduction, adverse odors may be produced. It is recommended to wear relevant protective equipment before opening the lid for observation.

6. After use, the test strips should be disposed of reasonably according to local regulations, and can be sterilized by high temperature and high pressure wet heat. After soaking in disinfectant overnight, they should be thrown into the waste bin.

Dipslide YM-M Common Customer Questions and Answers

Why do we need to test for mold and yeast?
① For the cosmetics industry, mold and yeast can enter cosmetics and cause product deterioration through metabolic activities. They can break down the ingredients in cosmetics, causing changes in taste, color, and texture instability. This may reduce the effectiveness and acceptability of the product, affecting the user experience For the food industry, mold and yeast can grow on the surface or inside of food and cause spoilage by decomposing its components; Some molds and yeasts reduce the nutritional value of food by breaking down food components such as protein, carbohydrates, and fats. And it will have a negative impact on the taste of food Mold and yeast can release spores and metabolites, which may cause allergic reactions or respiratory diseases in some people. Long term exposure to mold and yeast contaminated environments may lead to health problems such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, respiratory infections, etc. So we can use bacteriological tablets to regularly check for signs of mold and yeast in the home environment. If found, take timely cleaning and disinfection measures. Of course, after disinfection and cleaning, bacterial test strips can also be used to verify the results.
2. Will there be a lot of bacteria growing on the surface of this bacterial test strip?
can't. Because the YM-M bacterial test tablet formula contains an antibiotic that can inhibit bacterial growth and ensure better growth of yeast and mold.
3. The test strip itself is brown, and some molds grow black on it, which is very similar in color. How can I distinguish it?
This is easy to distinguish because the fungal hyphae grow more clearly and have a significant height difference from the agar plate.
What are the functional differences between YM-M and YM-R bacterial test tablets?
To obtain the most accurate data, we recommend using a constant temperature incubator such as PBI-C (PN number: 21935). If conditions are limited, room temperature cultivation can also be carried out, but it should be noted that the temperature difference between day and night during room temperature cultivation will have a certain impact on the final experimental results. At the same time, it is important to avoid light during the cultivation process to prevent excessive dehydration of the test strip and the failure of the indicator.
